CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS POLICY FOR EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES PRESENTED BY THE A.R.E. of NEW YORK

Workshops, courses, classes, other paid events and Malcolm Smith appointments.

If you cancel up to 24 hours prior to the day/time of the event, or the first class in a course or series, or an appointment with Malcolm Smith, a full credit will be issued minus a 10% processing fee.  (Some exceptions apply, including Certification Programs. See Exceptions, below)

This credit can be applied to other events by pre-registration or at the door if space permits, or to Malcolm Smith appointments (space permitting). This credit has no expiration date, and may be transferred and applied, if written notice of the transfer is received at least 24 hours before the day of the event to which it wll be applied.

Processing of a refund credit is pending until you receive notice that our we have received and validated your request. Estimated refund credit processing time is two weeks.

No credits are given for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the day and time of an event, or the first class in a course or series, or if a student does not attend the event, or if a client misses the appointment. Any exceptions to this policy (besides those below) will be made at the discretion of the ARE of NY administration.

Money-back refunds will be issued only in cases where the ARE of NY cancels the event or appointment.

Exceptions:

Certification Programs:  This cancellation and refund policy does not apply to certification programs that have their own specific, stated policy such as Psychic Skills Certification.

Programs Where the Instructor Handles Her/His Own Registrations:  This cancellation and refund policy does not apply to A.R.E. of NY-sponsored workshops, trainings or certification programs taught by Maureen St. Germain, or any other teachers who handle their own registrations,

Programs presented by A.R.E. of NY Practitioners, not presented by A.R.E. of NY:: While A.R.E. of NY may sometimes publicize programs offered by our practitioners or others, our Cancellation and Refunds Policy only applies to programs A.R.E. of NY presents. We will identify programs presented by others as such in our publications.

What if a workshop, course or event is cancelled by ARE of NY?  We reserve the right to cancel any event due to insufficient enrollment or other causes. Registrants will be notified by e-mail or phone at least 24 hours prior to the event. Registrants may choose to accept a credit. Otherwise a full refund will be issued via the credit card originally charged, or by check in the case of a cash or check payment. Estimated refund or credit processing time is two to three weeks.
